Forestry men and Timber Corps women at Lochloy

This photograph is courtesy of John Baillie, Garmouth is the second showing another rail truck loaded with Forestry men and Timber Corps women hitching a ride along the 3 mile long puggy line to or from their work site in Lochloy Forest. Again this photograph shows well the clothes used for work including dungarees, jackets, caps, scarves, jerseys, overcoats, rubber boots and leather boots (both low and high leg lengths).

The only people that John can now name are Ella Watt from Dallas (5th face from left), James Forsyth from Lessendrum (sitting, 6th face from left) and Jock Barnett from Huntly (standing, 7th face from left). It is possible the lady sitting next to Ella Watt is Betty Wilson from Lincoln (strong likeness to driver in photo 542).

Please check large photograph to see if more people can be named. Their names and other names of anyone associated with these operations around 1945 would be very welcome. Just e-mail in box below.
