' The small lad is myself aged about four years old in 1955. At the end of hut that was No 2 Forest Worker House, Glentress. At my back is the gable end of the hut and the window at the side was part of kitchen/bathroom’.

This building formerly a recreation hall in the days of the Forestry School was divided and partitioned into two houses for forestry workers and allocated as Forest Worker Houses Numbers 1 and 2 and shown as building 17 in the 1957 location plan Record No 4078.
