Craig Phadrig Forest stock map
Maps are courtesy of Inverness, Ross and Skye Forest District and show the forest area originally known as Craig Phadrig near inverness.
The renumbered compartments run from 87-93 and the planting years (PY) from 1880- 1964. All the early plantings (before 1926) must have been done by the former private estate and only the later planting by the Forestry Commission when it bought the area around 1925.
The area is a popular forest walk featuring some magnificent trees.
The name on the map is that of Jack Riddell who may have been Head or Chief Forester at Culloden Forest at this time.
Any comments and details of the forest would be very welcome.
