George Peterkin - Visit to Glen Affric

Photograph courtesy of Malcolm Wield, Dingwall.
The very eminent woodland ecologist and lifelong native woodland champion was engaged by the Forestry Commission to advise them on the management of existing native woodlands such as the remnants of the Caledonian pine forests and Atlantic coast oak woods.

George is here seen with forester Sandy Walker in the Ghuibhais area of Glen Affric.
