Forestry Houses at Ferness

Photograph courtesy of Sandy Gordon, Nairn, whose father James Gordon was a long service forester in the Forestry Commission latterly at Ferness Forest, Nairnshire. Sandy also worked for seven years with the Commission as a mechanic based at Longman workshop.

Beautifully maintained Forestry houses No 1 – 4 at Ferness Forest with shingle roof tiles. PDF shows No 3 and 4. These are the house after receiving a new coat of exterior paint and roof shingle preservative spray.

Any details of forestry people who lived in them and when would be very welcome. Just add to comments below.
