Forester’s House at Ferness Forest

Photograph courtesy of Sandy Gordon, Nairn, whose father James Gordon was a long service forester in the Forestry Commission latterly at Ferness Forest, Nairnshire. Sandy also worked for seven years with the Commission as a mechanic based at Longman workshop.

A fine view of the Forester’s house and deer fenced garden at Ferness Forest in 1967. Note the unusual dormer window design. Entrance view in the attached PDF.

Spend a Fantastic childhood in this house (1975 - 1988), Ferness was a wonderful village and loved helping Dad (Tony Hinde) out with all the Black Isle Show exhibits and Conservation projects....... Great Memories. (Chris Hinde)
