Benmore Forestry Students planting site - Bernice

Photograph courtesy of Jim Pratt.
The landscape photograph shows clearly the Bernice Gap high above Loch Eck and slightly below the partially ploughed hill ground. The Forestry students were given practical experience in hill ground afforestation on this site and carried out a great deal of hand draining and turfing above and between the irregular ploughed furrows.

Any memories of incidents and experiences on this site very welcome.
