Inverness raft race finish

‘The race finish and Davie Kidd (Forester Inverness Forest District) is congratulating Alan Duncan (Head of Accounts Inverness Conservancy Office). It had been a very tough paddle and Alan was shattered. He was a last minute stand in for Mick Holburn (Inverness FD) who had cut himself badly with a Stanley knife while opening packaging the night before and couldn’t take part in the event. Alan “volunteered” to paddle for us at the last minute, in an event it was completely out his “comfort zone” but he stepped up to the plate and did it.
The raft is actually a “polystyrene diver island” we converted for the race - boxed it in with OSB board, painted it forestry green and got the decals from the Longman workshop.’
The man on the left is John Ireland (Forester Fort Augustus Forest District) with David Kid and Alan Duncan in the middle and Steve Brown (Site Survey based at Culloden) on the right.
The PDF shows the raft under full power.
