Painting backdrops for Black Isle Show

Photograph courtesy of Andrea Borsden, Inverness showing FC staff painting the hessian backdrops for the FC stand at the show. They were painted in the Munlochy workshops and used for many years afterwards in various shows and forestry open days around Scotland.

Painting and showing their well developed artistic skills are the Cartographic staff from the Inverness Conservancy Office from left: Andrea Borsden (Selbie) Linda Swanson (Cummings) and Alison Macleod. They have achieved a remarkably well depicted woodland scene considering the ladies had to work on soft very flexible brown jute hessian cloth.
