Aberdeen Banffshire road – Gale 1953

This slightly amusing photograph shows the scale of the road blockage problem following the gale on 31 January. The precise location is not stated and the broken road sign is unreadable.
Note the telephone pole trapped in the middle of the devastation with something close to 60 separate wires, the stay pole across the road, the interlocked trees and the great difficulty of getting access to the stems and enough room for two men to cut with handsaws. The little breakdown truck pressed into service is now doubt an example of what was tried in thousands of instances to help try and sort out and clear the mess.
Can anyone name the type of truck?
