A series of photographs taken at Parkgate Engineering Works owned by the Murray family who manufactured almost all the forestry ploughs from the 1950s through to the 1980s. This photograph taken by Donald Thomson in 1976 shows a S45/T60/ plough head which could be fixed on a wheeled carriage or a mounted beam. One of the most commonly used heads on hard dry or stony ground before the mid 1970s. The much larger S60/T90 tine plough can be seen lying immediately behind and beyond that more plough peat plough and draining heads.
