Mechanised harvesting demonstration

The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.

Unfortunately there was no information on the photographs of the three machines in the demo or on the location which has some very fine Douglas fir and Sitka spruce. This Kockums machine appears to be a felling machine only as there or no delimbing knives or drive wheels on the felling head. The attached PDF shows quite a large tree being lifted and assume dropped in a position for the Brunnett processor to pick up and convert.

Does anyone have more information on this machine and location?
