Lower Glen Brittel Forest

The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.

Looking up to Glen Brittle Forest which was initially started in the 1930s and at the time of the photograph, was being thinned. The fields are a blaze of colour with flowers as are the trees around the fields and the gorse.

Can the croft be named?
