I think that the man on extreme right in the back row is Hugh Dempster of Auchterawe, Inchnacardoch Forest.Hugh later joined the Roads Squad and built bridges all over the North

I believe the man on the extreme left back row is Colin Matheson who in retirement lived at Pier Cottage at the Loch Ness end of the old Fort Augustus railway line.
