Dalavich Ferry 1952

Horse pulling the ferry up onto the beach in 1952. The ferry is the easiest way to reach civilisation for the residents of the purpose built foresters' village on the banks of Loch Awe.

Came across this early entered image and believe it is wrongly described.

This image is thought to date from around 1956 or earlier and resembles images in the PDF attached to Picture Number 1324 and is one of a series showing timber rafting across Lochawe: the log raft being assembled from timber dragged down from the forest: the separate logs are held together by a long chain run through a series of pins hammered into each log and once assembled the raft is then dragged across the loch by boat to the other side for extraction up to one assumes a lorry loading point.

Note here the logs in the water beside the boat which look as though they have just been towed across from the other side. The horse is possibly in the process of pulling the logs up onto the beach and then to the lorry loading point. Can anyone confirm?
