Winter Haulage at Dalavich, Argyll-1974

Photograph courtesy of Brian Fletcher, Conon Bridge.

The lorry on the right was owned by Len Stewart, Dalavich who was a wood contractor at Dalavich. The driver was Tommy Stewart Len’s son.

Len remembers ‘The driver on the left is Arthur Ashcroft from Beauly, the middle one I do not recognise and the third one is Jimmy Mackay also from Beauly. They are standing in front of the independent loader which I drove, an ex army AEC Matador.’
