Pouring Scots pine cones from the collecting bags slung around the neck into the hessian bags for future storage. Behind the collectors can just be seen the high ladders used to give the collectors access to the crowns of the trees in the clone bank. The seed from the clones banks would be kept separate and young trees grown would be sent to locations requesting improved Scots pine or native Scots pine of a type originating from a particular part of Scotland.
